Event Details

Since 2013, The She Said Project’s That’s What She Said performances have been inspiring audiences and empowering communities throughout the country with powerful, intimate stories shared by local women.

In this inaugural production in Columbia presented by Accounting Plus, 10 women from the community will take the stage and share their stories of success, joy, hardship, and overcoming barriers. This year's speakers include: Dr. Tashel Bordere, Mayor Barbara Buffaloe, Taylor Freeman, Natasha Harris, Mary Anne McCollum, Dr. Nicole Monnier, Valerie Ninichuck, Mary Ratliff, Dr. Meredith Shaw, and Jina Yoo. The show is produced and directed by Allie Teagarden.

This is an evening for the entire community to come together and celebrate the contributions of women here in Columbia (you don't have to be a woman to attend - all are welcome!).

Each That’s What She Said show supports a local nonprofit organization. The nonprofit partner for this year’s show is True North of Columbia, whose mission is to provide safety, shelter, education, and transitional support for those who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence and to empower all to create a safe community. 25% of the show's ticket sales will benefit True North and their critical work here in Columbia.

Your ticket to the show also includes a complimentary wine, beer, or cider beverage for you to enjoy upon your arrival at the Missouri Theatre. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
